History

In the late 19th century a man named Paul-Emile Carnal, a great lover of history, nature and the countryside, decided to establish a new private school and chose for her historic Chateau in the small town of Role, in which Le Rosey is today. From the beginning, the school emphasized the study of foreign languages and international and quickly became popular among foreigners: in the middle of the 20th century there had already studied the Americans, the Italians and Greeks, then came the students from Arab countries, South Korea, Japan and Russia. Today, Le Rosey is a prestigious and expensive school.

History

The school was founded by Duke Maurice of Saxony on the site of the former Cistercian Abbey of the Fort that existed from the 11th century.
