Violin or alien weapon

Piezoelectric Violin

Piezoelectric Violin
Visitors of the Inside 3D Printing conference which will take place in New York next month, will have opportunity to see and hear sounding of one of the most unusual tools ever created by people. The violin of Piezoelectric Violin which is Eric Goldemberg's (Eric Goldemberg) child, Veronika Zolkberg (Veronica Zalcberg) from studio MONAD, Miami, and Scott F. Hall (Scott F Hall), the musician who was engaged in the invention of exotic music instruments from 1990th years will become this tool. Despite the fantastic appearance and availability of only two strings, the violin of Piezoelectric Violin sounds as well as the traditional tool.

Design solutions
Besides, the technique of playing this violin not really differs from playing normal violin therefore any violinist who will need absolutely small time for mastering by the music instrument, new to it, can use it. "Our aspiration to creation of unusual music instruments was shown after we have realized that from the technical and esthetic point of view all of the designer and manufacturers of tools not strongly differ from composers and musicians from position of their conservatism" - Goldemberg tells, - "In each of our tools functionality and ergonomic structure of the original tool is saved. And therefore our violin and is called still as violin, violoncello - violoncello, etc. Besides, we have as much as possible tried to sustain all existing standards, restrictions and to save nature of sounding of the original tool".

So the new conductor addresses the orchestra. He tells them that things are going to change, that everyone will be expected to be on time and that they will work for many long hours. The timpanist, expressing his displeasure at the turn of events, belts out on the drums BOOM-BOOM- BOOM-BOOM. The conductor, whirling around furiously, says, "Alright, who did that?!"

It should be noted that for creation of construction of violin of Piezoelectric Violin and other tools to Goldemberg and his colleagues difficult mathematical calculations which have helped them to find the suitable design solutions allowing to receive high quality of sounding of their music instruments were necessary to resort to series enough. "Our violin is continuation of number of unusual music instruments which emergence is caused by the last achievements in the field of science, technicians, music and there is, some magic" - Goldemberg, - "Veronika, Scott and I tells, we try to save as much as possible all historical features of violin and other tools. And our innovations in construction of music instruments is symbiosis of tribute to traditions and courageous look forward in the future".
